The Department of Information Technology
was established in the year 2001 with an intake of 60 and
was sanctioned additional 30 students by the end of 2008.
The IT Department is rated as one of the best departments
in the Private Sector. It is also attracting top rankers
in EAMCET. The department uses sophisticated equipments
such as LCD for effective teaching, CC Cameras to provide
better education with more surveillance. The department
has well qualified and experienced faculty members. The
staff members are encouraged to participate in workshops,
conferences, and symposiums to keep in track with current
innovative technologies and developments.
The Department is equipped with 6 Computers labs and 2
advanced labs for departmental computer centre with
internet facility. IT department also has developmental
Digital library, classrooms with modern teaching aids and
staff rooms and a department seminar hall.
Students of our department actively participate in
National-level Student Paper Contests being organized at
various other Engineering Colleges. Few of the students
have been awarded in these paper contests. The IT students
have continuously securing top University Ranks among the
affiliated colleges. During the recent years, majority if
the students have been selected through campus selection
for placements in reputed companies.
The department conducts Industrial Visits every Year to
make the students familiar with Corporate Environment. The
department strives to inculcate conceptual and Technical
skills in students through a scientific teaching
methodology based on lectures, case studies, seminars,
group discussions, project works, assignments , quiz
programs etc.
About HOD
The Information Technology Department is
headed by Mr. K. Ramesh, who has been in the teaching field
since June 2004.He has completed his M.Tech degree in
Information Technology from SATYABHAMA University,
Chennai. Under his able guidance the department is
functioning effectively. He encourages the students to
develop in all respects that are essential for the present
day’s students.

semester, Examination held in 2008.
