Dr.P.Kannaiah did his B.E(Mech Engg.,) at S.V.U college of engineering, Tirupati, under S.V. university, during the year 1964.He did his M.E. in Machine Design from P.S.G. college of technology, Coimbatore under Madras University during the year 1967.While working at S.V.U college of Engg., as a teaching faculty, he completed his Ph.D. work.

He is having more than 40 years of experience, both at under graduate and post graduate level. The major work (teaching) experience includes 9 years of teaching experience at R.E.C Warngal and 24 years experience at S.V.U. college of Engg., Tirupati (S.V.University).

He published 18 papers at national and international level. He received best paper award for the best paper published in Indian Foundary Journal for the year 1988. While working at S.V.U college of engg., he also discharged duties as (i) N.S.S. co-ordinator for 24 years,(ii) Training and Placement Officer for 24 years and (iii) Head of the Department for 3 years.

He authored/co-authored 13 books. Five of his books are prescribed by JNTU as textbooks/reference books for B.Tech courses. After retirement from the S V University services, he worked as (founder) principal for Sri Sai Institute of Technology and Science, Rayachoty-Kadapa. Presently he is discharging his duty’s as Dean (Academics) at SSITS.
